Of this screenshot of a new website for CreateMyBB that I'm working on. The homepage is complete for the most part, but the entire website isn't, so I'd like to get some opinions on how it looks.

(I'd like to note that the Welcome, Latest News, and Why images are background images, and the "content" text on top of them is text in the browser)

Wow that looks pretty good! Very catchy looking! The colors look nice and all , maybe make the "why ec.t" a bit smaller? They look kinda big to me, but thats just me. If I had to choose a free host this would make me wanna use this one.

That's the very first thing I noticed also...I'd make the text a little smaller for each of those titles, "Welcome!", "Latest CreateMyBB News", etc....the only other suggestion I have is to jazz up the logo some more. Maybe put those people in it? I'm not sure, it's nothing big...just that the rest of the page is very appealing, but the logo is relatively plain.

I'll look into making the logo a bit "jazzed up," not sure what to do, but I'm sure I'll think of something. It's like that because past logos have been over done a tad, and that's exactly what the previous owner (Adam) wanted, but with the new homepage, I can see why we might need something different. The whole thing with our logo is the lightbulb - lightbulbs for ideas, I think you get the picture

I did the logo Adam (the previous owner) found the lightbulb, but I put the thing together. I think what the others meant was the header text in the images along the page, not the ones in the nav at the top. Unless that's what you meant to, you just said it wrong.

Thanks! Our goal is to have a professional design and layout that's attractive too, and I hope I've achieved that so far. And let me tell you, this site is only part way done. The only full page that we've gotten done is the create page, and that page was easy, and I guess you could say the index is done for the most part.

I'll look into incorporating everyone's suggestions, see how they look, ask opinions of the CreateMyBB Staff (especially Jon, the owner, of course). Thanks again, I really appreciate the comments, and I hope they can all make CreateMyBB great!

Based on some of the suggestions given, I've changed the logo a bit, but not too much. Still the same idea, just its a little bit more "lively," you could say. Also just some other small adjustments here and there...

I still need to make the header text in those images smaller; that'll be my next "project" for it.
