If anyone can tell me how this is done it would be greatly appreciated! TSG! P.S. Site is changing hosts and I need to repair some data loss, so the blog is a little messed up! For future landing page, http://www.gardeningsphere.com/gspages/index.html

The easiest way to achieve what you seem to be asking for is to stick a DIV around everything, with a fixed width of whatever you want (eg 750px for 800x600) and auto side margins to center it, simple as that.

Margin is the wasted space... the dark grey on AF for instance. Padding is how far away from the edge of the border you want the content. Also, in CSS, the settings start at the TOP, then like a clock, go: Right - Bottom - Left. So, Margin: 10px 3px 10px 3px; Means that the top and bottom are 10px, and the left & right are 3px. etc.

padding: 10px 0 0 0;
} Code: #masthead{
padding: 10px 3px;
} Aside from all that, TSG, you have some serious coding errors. W3C reports 48, but checking your page source reveals much worse. Your concerns should not be limited to how you can keep the masthead part of the page the same size as the rest of the page - that is the easy part. Jim
