Using default skins

I usually have a terrible itch to change it just because I know it is the default and it bothers ME, even if no one else cares. Unless it's a webmaster forum or a forum that attracts the extremely web-savvy, it would seem that the guests aren't going to have an issue with it and, in many cases, wouldn't know the difference. What are your thoughts?

It's so easy to install new skins these days, so why not put a new one up there?

I have a forum that has the default skin, the colors have been change and some of the icons and buttons also. But my members don't care. They want something that is easy to read and easy to use. I currently have no competition so I don't need to "stand-out". Skins or no skins will not be my deciding factor on joining a forum.
