Join Date: Jun 2007 Posts: 162 Location: India   | vB like display! Hey guys! I wasn't sure where to post this, please move it if it isn't the right place. I just modified a bit of coding in the display.template of my smf theme to make it look like the vB style. I.E. the username/avatar above the post and not beside it. I think i am successful, but it does look a little funny in places. Please suggest what else i could change, and please tell me how it looks.. Techtasy Forums - Index

Join Date: Sep 2007 Posts: 174 Location: Cornwall, UK    | It looks pretty good. Just a bit of constructive criticism! The text in the header looks too fuzzy and jagged. The header itself looks a bit bland. Maybe you could jazz it up with some cool patterns or brushes, etc. Also, you could use a bit of contrast from the blue... but that's just my opinion. Also, white text on light blue makes for hard reading. Hope that helped! | ||||

| I would make that black border on the postbit much smaller, maybe 1 pixel or so. It just seems way too big right now. I do like the idea however.

I has various things in common with vB. And i have once again managed to change the coding of the display.template. I think i have gotten a better mimic of vB style post page. What d'ya think?

Right now it looks too similar to that style. The creator of that style would be within their rights to complain if it's left the way it is now. | ||||
