Lightbulb Altering your forum for real life events?

Do you alter your forums looks or design for an event?
By this I don't mean massive things, like Christmas or New Years, but for smaller things, like Charity days? I'm personally quite a charitable person, and alter my forum theme just slightly to add a logo for the charity, and a link or something to it. Am I the only one that does things for charities?
Anyway, Friday in the UK is Children In Need day, so I altered my forum slightly. Here is the image of it now.

So, do you do anything like this for small or charitable events?

Related Links (cause I'm so charitable)

Then my site, if you wish to view the small edits first hand Rollin' Patrol Forums - Home Of The Rollin' Patrol

Well, it doesn't really "work out" as such, but it may help the charity in some way and help them work out. (As the image has a link to the site, as does the bit of text below forum links)

I havent edited the style but i have made announcements for charity's or donation collections for families of drunk drivers. I also helped a local charity / non-profit org setup their own forum and stuff

I definitely think it adds a nice touch. If you've got special events in mind and know of a good way to add something unique for the event, then I say go for it.

We've done some stuff to the logo around Christmas time, but not much more than that...and we also don't do holidays because we have a global audience and not everybody celebrates the same holidays. So, come "Christmas time", we put snow on the forums. If you live in Australia, too bad

I don't change the look, but always add a thread about the topic. As i've got members from all over the world except for those 'big' events, it's hard.

Sometimes we change the logo, but mostly I'll put something big on the main page. I think it does add a nice touch

I've never changed my logo for real life events apart from Christmas & Halloween and if i can find something suitable Easter.

Its nice that some forum owners do it though

I typically only change the logo for Christmas. Other than that, it pretty much stays the same year round, with a few screenshot changes every now and then.
