![]() | I've finally merged Joomla with vBulletin! After researching and hacking my vBulletin forum, I've finally found the answer on merging a Joomla front end with my vBulletin forum. I'm very happy with the look and feel. Let me know what you think; The Small Business Design Network - Because design matters, and networking is fun! I used a company called bbpixal (a very nice group of people) to help me merge everything. I'll post an article on the forum on how it was all created if any of you are interested. Marc |

Appreciate the kind words. I've written how I did it all on my site's home page, but for ease of clicking, I'll copy and paste it all here; The Joomla front end. ... if you've never heard of Joomla, you need to check it out. Joomla (Joomla!) is a way to create a "web 2.0" website. The system is very similar to something like Wordpress in that it let's you set up your 'theme' (the site's look and feel) and then change small elements of the site (called "modules" in Joomla). I can go on for hours about it all, but you should check it out for yourself when you can. Finding a nice Joomla template: The next thing I had to do was find a template for the forum. There are hundreds of Joomla designers on the web. ...I've been incredibly happy with a company called Yootheme.com - they require you to have a membership with them (I opted for the year membership) but so worth it in my opinion. How I merged Joomla with the vBulletin forum. Finally, I needed to merge the Joomla front end with the vBulletin forum. After researching a multi dozens of threads from other forums, I finally found a post that pointed me to a company called BBPixel.com | Home After writing to them for suggestions and help, they told me they could easily merge a Joomla front end with a vBulletin forum. ... for about $80 (USD). Within 48 hours, it was done! And I'm very happy with the results. Hope this helps! I'm here if you have any questions about any of it ![]() Marc | |
