![]() | Been done many times, Doesnt matter if you use tables or not as long as which ever you chose displays the way you want. There is no purpose of making a tableless site, some people try to hype it up like its some major achievement, or act like its something special. Its really not.

| The Webmaster ![]() | I think tables are way harder to work with, using all css is the way to go these days.

![]() | I think the main reason for a table less site is for layering. That is when using CSS for your layout manager comes in really handy.

| Apprentice | Yeah, most people tell you to use CSS only; however I still use tables as in some instances I find it easier and quicker to do. But, if you are starting a design from scratch I guess it would be better to start with just CSS. |

![]() | I let the site drive how I will design it. Some sites it just makes it easier to do it all with CSS and some sites it is easier to just use tables. Personally I prefer either a fully CSS driven website or a mix of tables and CSS just from an updating perspective or making changes. It's so much easier just to change an element in the CSS file instead of going through each web page.

![]() | Yes, I think a tableless site simply loads faster. CSS is very slick and actually looks a bit more web 2.0. Good luck! |

![]() | IMHO, tableless has a better load time than table website. Besides that, you can also make use of the relative and absolute feature on a tableless div. long story short, tableless makes your website source code looks cleaner..

| daviddamian.com ![]() | CSS3 has a table-like property using divisions. So, it brings back the solidity of a table, yet the ease of divisions. (did I say ease?)
