Yes. I've had more headaches from browser incompatibilies than anything else. Most often, the culprit is Internet Explorer's noncompliance with web standards.

For my web site, I've had to code two different stylesheets: one for Internet Explorer, and one for decent browsers. And, of course, the results in Internet Explorer often don't look as nice.

IE is a pain when you want to build a site following Web Standards.... I generally build for FF, then check it out in IE afterwards and see just how bad the mess is before changing anything.

Don't get me started on that sorry excuse for a browser, IE...

I'm dreading IE7 as that will then be yet another browser to have to cater for.

I've been lucky and haven't had any problems in the change over from IE to Firefox. I don't deal with the graphics side of my forum but as far as I know they test it with IE, Firefox and Opera.

I've heard this as well but luckily we haven't come up against any yet. Fingers crossed we won't!

There's only one problem, and that's IE. It's a standards designers nightmare. Pretty much every other browser complies with standards, except for that one.

IE just loves to make a designers life hell.

Why would Microsoft design such a poor browser anyway?

So that we'd keep downloading the upgrades that have tracking software built into it so that they can see where we're visiting online and thus making their marketing more targeted? <takes off conspiracy theory hat>
