Join Date: Nov 2005 Posts: 518 | Im not so sure about the colors fit a hardware or general tech site. The nav menu buttons with that kind of antique font also don fit my idea of a hardware site. New techie sites get more from clear and clean designs For experience I can tell you that people that frecuent this sites dont like "somber" sites, i used to have a nice grey, blue and orange theme but dark themes are not really appreciated, with obvious exceptions like t-break forums or the [H]ardOCP forums or the xtremesystems forums. But this guys already have a huge following and maybe dark themes will become the next big thing in hardware or techie site. Designwise the sites I have always looked upon are ipkonfig (at least site design because their forums are using now default vb  ) Ars Technica (both site design and forum design, even when they dont use vB), Designtechnica (site design, also using default vb  ) and right now ITFreaks wich haves a really nice site and forum styles integration.
