Photoshop cs2 question

Hello, Here's what i got:

I want to design a logo with a transparent background so, when i add it to a website the logo has no background. Well, i created a new document with transparent background. However, that didnt get rid of the white background once it was on the web page. Can someone please tell me how to do this?

Any info is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jerry

you have to "save for web..." as gif or png with transparency enabled.

edit: if you're saving as png with transparency make sure you've configured your server to show them correctly with IE, else stick with the gif format.

Save for web>save as gif>set transparency to diffusion (play with the settings if you'd like)
