Stock Photo Sites

A couple of my friends are photographers, they both sell their pictures on sites like bigstockphotos and similar sites. They've both told me that they think I should create a site like that, as there's some big bucks to be made.

I'm not all that familar with it, I've found a decent script that does it but it's still in development. But it'd be done soon. That's not the question, though. Are there too many sites like this already? Would it be worth my while to even jump into that type of business?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I'm not that knowledgable in this field to form a decent opinion but before any project is started you must research the field and see if there's any holes to fill or if you can offer something different from the rest.

Here's a huge list of such sites to help you research

Ah, thanks. I didn't realize there were that many of them out there.
