Join Date: May 2006 Posts: 9  | I prefer light themes. That is because most of the dark themes I've seen go overboard and it becomes ridiculously difficult to read the text. A good balanced dark theme can look slick, but you are less likely to make mistakes make a light one. But generally it depends on the theme of the site. Oh and there's nothing intrinsically wrong in having a rock-site with a light theme.

Join Date: Mar 2006 Posts: 177 | Light, generally speaking. Dark skin can be pretty tricky to use. So many things need to be set right in order for it to look clean and elegant. I am not a great designer, so I generally stick to a light skin

Join Date: May 2006 Posts: 29 | Dark skins are good for games, entertainment, and other not so serious forums but light skins are for professional and serious forums. My custom skin is going to be light as our board is mainly about politics and economy.  | ||||
