Hi everybody,

I have started my first forum before 1 month(actually the first serious one), and since then, I am doing research on how to improve it. Something I found out is the game modifications(for those who don't know, is a mod that adds some flash games that only members can play, with high scores, etc.), everybody sais that it helps bring new members in your forum.

I understand that, but I also wonder if this could work for a webmaster related forum like mine.

Can you share your opinion or experience on this?

I have run an arcade before in the past, but it was actually for a gaming forum...so it obviously fit very well...It does indeed bring back visitors...We will be implementing one here at AdminFusion if that helps you make your decision

It will, however, be limited to registered and active members.

Yeah, it's exactly the thought I have with the arcade mods.

It doesn't necessarily fit with a Writer's forum, but it'd bring in traffic. I'm still pondering it (and whether I'll have enough bandwidth/etc for it)

Best way to do an arcade is to enable the post per play settings, so that members have to post a certain amount per day in order to be able to access the arcade.

Otherwise, you'll get a bunch of folks coming just to play the games and never post anything.
