HTML Problems

Well I'm a beginner, I can't figure this out on my own. I always learn by looking at what other people would do, and then adapt it to work my way.
The problem I have is that I have to place text in teh middle of images, I got that fine. Problem is I need to cover the area around it with the color it should be an not the background. Filling it with line breaks is messy not to mention is never works on all browsers. Anyone have a clue?

Are you using Photoshop?

I'm not positive what you are asking, but I Believe what you want is to add a stroke to the text.

To do that, in PS, go to:
Layer > Layer Style > Blending OPtions > Stroke
from there check the box for stroke, and then choose your color, size and all that.

Hope that helps

The text in the 'Lates News' box is surrounded by the bgcolor. I need to fix that somehow.

From what I see in the source you have the text in a <div> called newsp. Check your css to make sure that it doesn't have the background color you don't want setup in there.

It has the background color I need. The background color that comes up is the 'background-image: url('')' background that I need, it's the eimage on the sides.

EDIT: Thanks for the help but I got the solution on my own. I made every image I don't need to be a link or to be replaced soon a background image with <td background="path/to/image.gif"></td>.
