Not exactly sure what goes into determining these estimates, but it is at least something fun to look at

My site is currently a PR4 and according to that site, my future PR level will be 4 as well. Maybe the far far future will be brighter for me.

Don't feel too discouraged, the jump from PR 4 to PR 5 is the toughest one at the early stages

dont forget there was recntly a pr update, from what i understand the future pr tool checks to see how many links you have to calculate it. Which considering theres just been a update, isnt likly to change much.

I wouldn't give any credit for these softwares.

No one knows how PR is really calculated. Also there's a difference with your real PR and PR you can see on toolbar. LOL, I'd like to see source code of that code

Actually...there is a science to it. It is a matter of how many backlinks you have and what the pageranks of those backlinks are. A chart was posted somewhere in these forums that displayed what numbers of links and what quality those links needed to be in order to reach a certain pagerank.

Now, whether or not this script can be that accurate, I don't know...but to say that no one knows how PR is really calculated isn't exactly true.

Charts are made by people who do have nothing to do with Google. And yes, I've seen those. .Just don't blindly trust everything you read, those are just assumptions.

I suggest you read this fine article about pagerank(s).

http://www.seocompany.ca/pagerank/pr/real-page-rank.php

Anyway, I agree it's fun to watch what your visible PR might be on next update

Edited to add:

As one of my forum members said:

"try searching google with your keywords and you'll see the REAL pagerank." ;D

Page Rank, and your positioing on pages are sligntly different things, you might have a page rank of 10, but that doesnt mean that you will be at the top for all your keywords, you might only beat the top for one of them.

PR is still very unknown, all that is realy know is that you need links to your site.

I think you guys are missing the point. I never said anything about positioning. I was saying how pagerank is calculated. And yes, pagerank is calcuated based on number and quality of backlinks to your site.
