Hi Folks,

I'm one of the people behind Zoints SEO. Releasing it was one of the hardest decisions i've made in a long time. And in all honesty, i'm still not sure if it was the correct one. PLEASE do NOT install this mod unless:

1. You are very well educated when it comes to SEO
2. You are well versed on modifying vBulletin.

Zoints SEO is open source; we've basically donated it to the modification community. It has some really cool features and it has some I wouldn't use on my forums. Anyone is welcome to tear out the good features and make them available. I just want forum owners to have the features at their disposal.

I concur that it's a good piece of software. I use it on one of my forums and don't have any major complaints. It has allowed me to do some url schema testing that i've been itching to do for quite awhile.

Ok has any of the above posters actually installed the software so I can take a look at it? And anyone compared it to the features of vBSEO if they have a copy?

I have it on a test board. It is the second best SEO software out there for sure. It has good features. I just don't see me running it ever due to zero support, zero development, and lack of features compared to VBSEO.

Since I have no plan to buy vbseo for my forums, I guess I might as well use Zoints on my forums since it's free!

Please be careful unless you're very familiar with SEO and forum modification. If you're not, you'd be better off with default vBulletin or waiting until the community has had a chance to develop Zoints SEO a bit.

What's there to know about SEO? Basically this is using mod_rewrite I believe to make the URL's of threads to include the name of the thread (and maybe category as well?) and it should do a 301 redirect to the new ones..

you can severally damage your board and listings if your not familiar with correct SEO
