| Super Moderator ![]() | Index Regularly If I had to pick my weakest point, it would be SEO. I know it's important but it's not exactly defined. Nothing is proven guaranteed. Obviously I want to make it favor google's algorithm to show up better there as most searches are done there. Is there a way to make the bot visit daily or is that something google determines on it's own? For example, I posted a blog on the OMG site and within 20 minutes it was indexed already. Is it because the lack of numerous links and no deep crawling needed? I have job postings that haven't been indexed yet and they've been up for days and it's a much higher traffic site. Is it because the depth of the links? Anything I can do to make it indexed more regularly? Did I just happen to post my blog at the right time when google bot was on?

| daviddamian.com ![]() | Are you using a sitemap? Did you submit it to big G? How often do you 'send' it? Do you use meta tags? Do you have the one that says revisit-after xx days? Just thoughts.

| Super Moderator ![]() | Revisit-After META Tag - Metadata Elements Says the revisit meta tag isn't supported by major search engines. I set a Sitemap with daily priority.

| Member | Are you job postings sending a ping? If not, that may be the reason why they are not being indexed. Blogs & Pings go together naturally, so when you ping, the bots generally come crawling due to the post being sent elsewhere.

| Super Moderator ![]() | That would actually make sense. Is there a way to setup a ping manually?

| Member | You would have to integrate XML-RPC which is what is used to do the pings in WordPress and other blogging platforms. If that's not possible and you have an RSS feed for InsuraJob, then you'll be able to use pinging services like PingOMatic, Pingoat (yes, just one G), Technorati and other such services.

| Super Moderator ![]() | I have XML and RSS feeds but will probably just use a Ping service for now to index quicker. Thanks for the info!

| Member | Go to one of the services and make sure if they have an RSS feed field, you drop the RSS URL in there. It may not be as instant, however, with the URL spread, the indexing will occur a bit quicker, at least in my experience.
