| From what I understand it helps get your site indexed faster in google and the other SEs, I would definitely recommend using one. Some software like vbulletin have sitemap generators, that is what I use.

Join Date: Dec 2006 Posts: 15 | It's good practice to have sitemaps on your site. It allows Google et al to find pages that it couldn't find easily via spidering. It probably won't help with rankings though as the pages need to have backlinks etc to have better rankings. It also helps to have sitemaps in Google webmaster tools, it can give you lots of information on your website. | ||||
