we are working on this very problem on our site Hung Lo DoJo - Rogue MMA Journalism. its a blog so it is sorta hard to gauge the real bounce rate because so much of the content is on the home page, once people read it, they leave.

make good internal links to your sites and also make nice and attractive banner to show your latest stuffs or any important pages of site, so visitors will converted on those pages and you can decrease your bounce rate of site.
