How to prompt deeper indexing?

How can one prompt Google to go one level deeper when indexing a section of a website?

All across our site, it indexes a few pages only in each directory, whereas if it just followed a few more links I could really have fun with it.

you can work on deep link submission and also submit your site inner pages in some bookmarking sites.

Using a sitemap might also help, I dunno if I'd use Google's official sitemap format but just a page listing all the pages you have on your site titled Sitemap.

Moleman is right, a Site Map is a MUST have for any website you are trying to get deeplinked.
