Well I can guarantee you that if I have them linking to a 0byte file I will be quite pleased with myself. Just out of curiosity. How long have you been doing webmaster/programming/server admining? I'm just curious as to the professional I am dealing with here. For my credentials I have been programming and so forth for the web since 1995. I held a position for the better part of 6 years with a major player in the financial industry as a programmer and administrator. I now work for one of the top banks in the country. Again as a programmer and administrator.

Congrats. Too bad it was just a grey. I wouldn't care if someone had a 0 byte file on their site that was hosted on mine. I actually have a Gallery and welcome people linking from it on other sites. So a 0-414 byte file is no worries to me.

Way before 1995 I was part of a group that had fun taking down chat servers and and DDoS'ing KKK people on the chat servers.

I have been out of that for 5+ years now, but if I needed to I am sure I can get the old "gang" back to help me out. I really only have talked to one of them in the last 2 years and he is now in Iraq. Have not heard from him in months.

I could find the code myself and be really nasy but I just wanted them to get a full page telling them to remove the dang code. I am now leaning towards making a 404 like you all suggested BUT tries to auto install something. The type of site thats linking to it would make me a lot of cash if I found a place that pays per install... Maybe xxxtoolbar.com or the like.

This has gone far enough...back to our daily nightly routines folks
