Can this be done?

I have a domain that use to be a banner exchange that used iframes for the banner code. Some sites are still have the iframe code on them even though the banner exchange has been dead for almost a year. I asked a few of these sites to remove the code but no luck.

The domain now points to my forum and the 404 error page is loaded into the iframe when people view these sites... Is there a simple code that will make it so the forum takes over the full page when a page with the iframe is loaded? This code should not mess up any page on my main site though...

So let me make sure I understand this. Some sites have code loaded on their sites that used to be from a banner exchange. Since that is no longer active and they haven't removed the code, you want when ever that page is loaded to take over their site and display your forum? If that is infact what you want to do, then even if I had the code I would not give it to you.

A simple 404 that has very little on it takes absolutely no resources. Hell put a blank file in place of where that ad file was on your site. If the file is blank it will be close to 0 bytes if not 0. Then you will be sending close to a 0 byte file every time it is requested. Taking over someone elses website is just rude and very wrong on so many levels. Thats the equivalent, in my opinion, of these damn spyware pains in the asses and on some levels a hacker. I truly hope that you do not pursue taking over their website because that can open you up to a mess load of legality issues.

If it was done purposefully yes, i spect he would be rather peeved off. It would be worse on mine though, as i have a image on it so people know it is an error originating from my site. for example.http://forumchunkies.co.uk/oopsanerror

That produces a 404 page that is 414bytes in size. Say you load it 4000 times. So in 4000 impressions you are getting a 1.5mb hit to your bandwidth. Or .0015423gb hit. You are telling me that your bandwidth is so low that losing .0015423gb is upsetting to you? If you replaced the file that the site is requesting with a 0byte file the only data you would lose in transfer is the header. Which in most cases is under 1 byte. Are you really trying to make this argument with a programmer? No explanation you can ever make will ever justify the want to put in take over code on another person's website.
