![]() | Hi, I hope this is the correct forum for this. ![]() I used to be with Bluehost and and had to look for a new one because BH kept giving me "CPU quote exceeded" errors. I'd checked my vB multiple times and made sure it was running with setting as optimal as possible. But BH gave no assistance other than telling me to improve the script. Yeah right, I'm gonna improve on one of the best forum softwares in the world... Anyway, I made a thread here asking for advice on a new host and that's how I got in touch with Kim of AirborneFive. She checked my vBulletin configuration and gave me some more imformation on optimization etc. Then, when I had decided to give AirborneFive a go, they moved my whole forum over to AirborneFive. I didn't have to do a thing - within a couple of hours the whole move was done and all that remained was to wait for the DNS change to propogate. I signed up for the airbornefive plan (there's airborneone, airbornetwo, etc.) which is the biggest plan. I am hosting more than one site on that account, so that made sense. It costs 17$ per month and gives you 3GB of webspace, 40GB transfer and all the usual stuff like CPanel, Fantastico, etc. The server performance was great. The only trouble I had was the fact that 99% of my forum visitors are from Germany. For some of them the connection time was a little longer than usual which was caused by the way that the signal traveled from their computer to the server. It seemed that only a number of people were having this problem. So I sent a few trace route reports to Jonathan of AirborneFive and he checked it for me. End of the story was they moved me to a fresh new server, slapped an additional 1GB of space and 10GB of transfer on the account (free of charge) and now I'm a happy bunny! The connection times ROCK - no more delays or nothing. I've been with them for almost two months now and so far have not had a single report of the site being unavailable or down. I have to say, I've tried MANY hosts in the last 10 years and I have never - and I mean NEVER - ever seen such a high level of service and dedication towards customers. | Forum Addict ![]() ![]() | I can also vouch for how wonderful they are! I was with Asmallorange for about 2 years and had my fair share of problems with them. They were good when the server was actually up, but my site always seemed a little slow. Towards the end there my site was going down several times a week for hours at a time. ASO always blamed something I was doing, when in all reality I had done nothing to the site so I never understood that. Once I contracted Kim and Jon to help with my site overhaul they informed me that they also provide hosting services so I figured why not. They did all of the work for me and it was back up and running in just a few hours. I have to say that was the best decision I have made in regards to my site. MPC has never been faster! No matter what is on the page it will load very fast. I am definitely impressed with them and will continue to recommend them to everyone I know

| Apprentice | I'm with ASO too, and usually I don't have any problems with them except for the slightly slow performance. But I've signed up with AirborneFive today so we'll see if they are any better. One thing I really like about ASO is their support (on the few occasions when I've actually needed it). I can't fault the support. As far as I'm concerned, high quality and fast support is very important. It's all very well when nothing goes wrong but when something does goes wrong, high quality and fast support is essential in my opinion. So we'll see how AirborneFive does in that area. |
