| Veteran ![]() | GoDaddy is awful :( I was with asmallorange.com - and wasn't impressed with the speed my site was getting. They said they couldn't do anything about it, it was because i was using vBulletin. ![]() so changed to GoDaddy - no other reason than they were big. However, less than a month after signing up with them, i am making interntional calls from New Zealand to the States, as my site had been down almost 24 hours with no answers to help support Not impressed at all They then tell me that it was something i had done to the site, that had changed it - amazing when the time frame they gave for that to have happened was when i was in bed asleep - and i am the only admin! So now with hostgator. Quick service, site is reliable, and running well - the SAME site i might add as what GoDaddy says couldn't run - due to something i did to it. Thumbs up hostgator

| The Webmaster ![]() | I have heard bad things about GoDaddy's hosting, sorry you had to deal with them. I am with ASO and mostly satisfied, I've considered switching to HostGator though. I have heard a lot of good things about them.

![]() | I wouldnt use GD hosting, it has a pretty bad reputation but I do use them for domain registration since they are cheap. |

| Lurker | Godaddys hosting does not go down that often, I have used them for years. Their free hosting is great too. anna@natureday.com

![]() | I have never heard a darned good thing about GoDaddy hosting; I've only heard very bad things. As a domain registrar, they are okay but I've even moved away from that.

![]() | I'm curious to see how hostgator's working for you now. I haven't tried Godaddy for hosting, but their customer service skills really, really suck. I left them about 3 years ago for namecheap, and though I'm paying a few cents (per domain) more renewals or new domains, but the customer service is much better, and the system is much better. I wouldn't trust a shared host with my information, but then again, I run a couple, three servers so I can deal with my own stuff.

![]() | Well, this does not bode well for GoDaddy. I, too, have heard nothing but horror stories about them. I was with SiteGround... very bad experience, and moved to HostMonster (site 1) and HostGator (site 2), both shared hosting. I run two small-medium sized boards with mid-range traffic, and both hosts have been up to the challenge. HostMonster has excellent service, as well as friendly (and quick!) customer service. My plan with them is up in September, and I plan to renew for a third year with them. HostGator's service plan is up in October, and I plan to renew with them, as well. Nothing but good things to say about them both. On a side note, though... my site was hacked, multiple times, through HostMonster (who share them same servers with Bluehost). The hacker contacted me, and told me how to fix (and prevent) it, and also mentioned how he got in was due to the fact that HostMonster's security was sub-par. Might be something to be on the lookout for.

| daviddamian.com ![]() | For hosting, Godaddy is a joke. I recommend either HostGator or BlueHost for those starting out. It's a little more expensive for BH, but I feel it is a lot better, since they don't bitch about having to edit the php.ini file for me.

![]() | Godaddy support basically sucks. You can't expect results from them. I've faced many problems from them and their support was never on time |
