Thumbs down Tell me how slow my site is running

I can't believe how slow my site has been running on Lunar Pages the past couple of days. I was told I had been moved to a new server and it made things even slower. Every time I contact them they tell me to run a trace route. But its not just me. Its my members from around the world complaining about it. If you get the chance please try to access my site and let me know how slow it is running for you. If you don't mind giving your location that would help

http://www.trumpetmaster.com

I'm at the end of my rope and am looking for a new host.

eek, I gave it 30 seconds and gave up...it wouldn't load at all for me. I can try again later when it's at least semi-working.

I'm in Georgia (Southeastern US)

Thanks Ryan, What do you suggest I do about this?

Here are some of the pieces of advice I have received from LP

Quote:
Hello,

I see your site is running Vbulletin and is currently up. The server was
rebooted. It is taking some time to load for me. Have you optimised the
database recently? If not, please back it up and then run repair in Cpanel
under Mysql and go through the database to optimise it, prune posts, etc. It
may help the speed.

Hi,

I apologize for inconvenience.

Currently, your site trumpetmaster.com is working for me. Could you please
provide a traceroute to your domain? You can also ask your users who are also
experiencing this issue supply a traceroute, so we can compare the results.

Please provide us with the following:

1.) Your geographic location
2.) Your ISP
3.) Your IP Address (can be obtained at http://www.whatismyip.com/)

.:|Traceroute|:.
A traceroute doing the following:

Windows XP/2000
1. Go to Start > Run...
2. Enter cmd and click OK.
3. At the prompt, type tracert yourdomainname and hit enter.

We can then look into this issue further.

Thanks.

I also gave it 30 seconds, and it didn't load for me, either. I'll try it again in 30 minutes or so, and see if it's improved.

I'm located in New Hampshire, USA.

It loaded for me, eventually.

I can understand how frustrated you feel because I've had the same problem twice. I decided to start a new thread at my forum asking the members to log the downtime/slowness of the forums. All they had to do was log the date and time and post it. Once the members started to do this I then forwarded the link to the thread to our hosts. By doing this they could see that it wasn't an ISP issue. I also posted details so my members could do a traceroute. I continued to forward a copy of the traceroutes to our hosts until they fixed the problem
