Question Anyone ever use this domain registrar

Netfirms Inc. is the company. They charged me $4.95 for a domain which I think is a really good price. However, they're domain setup seems really weird to me. I trying to change the CNAME and A-Record but everytime I do so I have to pcik a subdomain. For instance my domain is islaminviewforum.com. So when I try to change the CNAME or A-Record I get this:

1. Enter a subdomain:
___________.islaminviewforum.com

2. Enter the CNAME:
______________

Now I am confused about the subdomain thing. I have a domain with another domain registrar (Domain Explorer) and I don't have to enter a subdomain. The only reason I didn't use them again is because they charged $12.95 for my domain and I didn't realize at the time that I could have gotten it for much cheaper. Should I be concerned?

I entered www. and * as a subdomain and it's working fine. It didn't even take 24 hours like they said it would.
