One of my only domain names that's not developed. How much do you think i could get for this as is? It currently has a site with the steadyniche script. Should I develop it into a fansite? How much would you appraise the domain name developed and not-developed?

There's huge potential in making a fan site. If you're interested, you should definitely go for it. With a domain that good, you'll do incredibly well in search engines. If you're not interested, don't bother, just sell it (I'm by all means not a domain appraiser, so don't ask me how much), but I think it's a very worthy investment.

Develop it as a community for the Stephen King fans and maybe, just maybe, you will capture the attention of a certain Stephen King. Hopefully in a postive manner, otherwise he may take the domain away from you in a case of cybersquatting.

You do realize that CyberSquatting is illegal and you could face a major fine, correct? I'll bring this to the attention of Mr. King and let him decide what should be done about it. The person who bought it may end up selling porn using King's name, or even using it for an Advertisement page.

You should have checked with King before selling it.

The person who purchased it, if not affiliated with Stephen King, will end up losing the domain as well as the money he/she paid. It is a matter of when, not if this happens.

If you go to StephenKing.net, you see the new owner has already started developing a fan site around the domain name. Now I would die from excitement if Stephen King himself tried to sue me in court. He's just too.... amazingly rich to care, but that's just my opinion. Thanks for your concern.

LOL. Maybe, Maybe not. As long as the person keeps it as a fan site then I would imagine king might allow that.

I once owned SportsCenter.TV and I contacted ESPN about the name (I've never watched ESPN nor have I heard of SportsCenter - I am not a sports type of guy, beyond Wrestling.) It was a Sports Bar and Grill type of Community. Well, they got their lawyers involved and I got more passionate about my right to use a domain with words that were common day usage, beyond a TV show.

I ended up selling the domain to ESPN for three grand. Both parties walked away happy that it didn't go to court, as it could have gone either way.

Never purchase a domain that is copyrighted, or uses a person's name - unless it is your name. Otherwise, you may end up in trouble. Considering that I own over a thousand domains, I do know what I am talking about.
