help with new forum

Ok, so i'm not quite sure what to do here LOL (i'm a nooooob)....

I have a domain Mummybrain.com - For mums & dads around the world and hosting. I now have purchased another domain, and want to create a new forum in a folder on the same hosting i currently use for Mummybrain.

Question, how do i make it so that it's not www.mummybrain.com/newforum, but rather the www.newdomain.com points to that? I also want it so that the forum will send out notifications etc from the www.newdomain.com, not to the subforum... how do i do this? (in simple english please).

Do you have cPanel? Use the addon domains button.

Well then addon domains will let you link a brand new domain to a folder in your website - just point your new domain to your hosts nameservers, and then add a new addon domain

cPanel will help set up all of the background stuff. You just need to tell it what domain to add.

Be sure to have the domain's nameservers pointed right.
