You need to cut back on your generosity...lol Tons of graphic links, smilies etc. in the posts and signatures. I can imagine that someone with a slow Internet connexion or a computer that is less than optimised or state of the art, might have a problem loading your pages. Maybe the problem is with your Administrator's computer and not with your site per se? Could you specify a link to the particular forum in question? If you, yourself, can access your forum's threads, then I doubt anything is wrong on your end. Best regards, B

Even the simplest mybboard, she can't open any threads. We tried IE and and Firefox, it hangs with both. She has a personal laptop and the same thing happens with that one. I'm leaning toward the problem being her ISP (comcast). I don't know if she has called them yet. I just wondered if there might be something she can do.

That really doesn't make any sense at all and is probably just a coincidence - Keep checking more forums. If her computer refuses to visit a website just because it's a forum, then we must be in the twilight zone. Anywho, this is probably an ISP issue. She'll probably have trouble accessing any website on that same server or in the same general geographic area. Get her to try to access your forums through a proxy (this is safe) - http://proxy.org/cgi_proxies.shtml If one doesn't work, try another...Could take up to 10 proxies before one works...and if that does work, then it's an ISP issue. More than likely something that's completely out of yours and her control, but it wouldn't hurt to pick up the phone and call her ISP. Explain the situation, and they may be able to do something about it...either way, this should resolve itself in no more than a few days.

I cannot access my Godaddy account through my home desktop, but I can through my laptop. Both have the same operating system and the same IP. I really believe that has something to with the ipconfig on my desktop. Why your friend cannot access message boards in general -I will admit, is something I find utterly mystifying. I imagine one of the techies here will step forward with a plausible explanation. If I was sitting at your friends computer, I'd be in a better position to analyse the situation. I love a challenge...lol The only thing I can think of that most message boards have as a commonality is that they use php and mysql. Please keep us informed. This is an interesting situation.
