There has been allot of fuss over a $1-3 change in domain prices. Its not the domain registrars fault, its the company who manage the domain names. I can see how if you own allot of domains it might really affect you, but do you need 2000+? domains...which i highly doubt you have.

2000 domain names do sound like a lot but, I am not close to the full time
domainers that own sometimes 10.000+ domain names.
Of course, its not all about quantity but the quality of the names
