Backups & MySQL dump question

Is there possible to do a mySQL dump with phpMyAdmin so the sql/gzip backup file are stored on my server space rather than downloading it ?

I have tried, but the only options I seem to have with phpMyAdmin is to get the backup as text on the screen or download it as .sql, .gzip or a .zip file

Thanks for your help

as far as I know this feature is not available with phpmyadmin.

If you have Cpanel you can do a full backup to a remote ftp server, or a local server path tho.

with cpanel you can make a mysql backup, which is a .tar.gz file.. or you can use php myadmin, export, copy the code into a file in notepad or something.
