I always used to run sites on my own server, however after we got rid of some of the bigger sites, we no longer needed a server so we downgraded to a single shared account at hostgator...seriously, we dint need much space

The reason i chose hostgator was mainly because of their reputation. Im a regular poster on web hosting talk and they have some great feedback from members...i think about 1/50 is unhappy, which is great.

I also use hostgator, and they are great for small sites, but you can outgrow them pretty quick. All of my small site are with hostgator.
