Join Date: Feb 2006 Posts: 108 Location: California  | If you go with a shared hosting plan, shop around for on that will allow access to SSH. It really makes the admin job a lot easier. When I was on a shared server the hosting provider gave me SSH access when I asked for it. I had to get permision from the owner though. I have since switched to a dedicated server, and it's costing me a lot.
