When you port a domain
to another registrar - will it keep the current info about where its pointed to?

I have a domain transfer in progress and the thing is taking forever. I dont want it to switch while I am asleep and find out the site was down as that would suck.

As far as I remember it does keep all the same contact info and nameservers, but it could vary from registrar to registrar..
