Join Date: Sep 2006 Posts: 294  | Domain name ideas ? Hello, I have a free forum hosting and i want a domain which is 3 maybe 4 letters but they need to stand for something. Here is an example: FFF = Forums for free Anyone got any ideas ?

Join Date: May 2006 Posts: 20 | If you want a 3 letter .com, .us, .info, .ws, or .eu, you better be ready to shell out at least high $xxx. I'd be shooting for a 4 letter .com. Finding one that is available to register (or for sale cheap) that could stand for something isn't going to be easy. Most of the domains with "good letters" are taken. The ones left has letters that make it hard to find a word it could stand for, like the letters q and x. I would look at the 4 letter domains that are available and find one that you think looks good, and then try to come up with what it could stand for or maybe you will find a domain that is pronouncable and it wouldn't need to stand for anything. | ||||

| Just some advice, I'd avoid posting possible domain names your looking to acquire anywhere on the internet. There are some sneaky people who will buy it from under you and try to sell it to you at a higher price  | ||||

Join Date: Sep 2005 Posts: 10,246 Location: Athens, GA  | As already mentioned, finding a 3 letter domain is not easy...and even once you do, it's going to come at a high price. I would recommend trying to come up with an easily-brandable name instead of trying to squeeze words into whatever 3 letter domain that you might be able to find.
