IRC Chat Room
I have an IRC chat room on my site at the moment, but it's quite slow to load. I'd like to stay away from java. Any suggestions? I have seen shockwave IRC rooms, but can't find any code for it

Hey Rizzo

I'm using x7 chat from www.x7chat.com and is integrated with phpbb. A user logs into chat using their username they signed up with. There is also a mod that shows how many people are in chat next to the chat link on your index. It works quite well on my site.

Glenn, that doesn't appear to use IRC reading the documentation, am i incorrect in that?

I am specifically wanting to use IRC so members with programs on their computers for IRC can use that instead.
