My New Project

Hey guys, here I am with a new project Quizzical. It's a forum about trivia and weird facts (hence the slogan "totally useless but fun"). Now, I'm not wanting a full review. Just, before I open it - should I make any changes?

The background is a bit to fluro for my liking, aggressive for the eyes. A smoother pink would be better, or blue for that matter.

What do you have to offer for the members? Try and get something interesting when your forum gets going. Maybe like articles relating to trivia?
monthly fact article? fact of the week? some jokes posted up? news/facts on sport, music, games etc Something along those lines would make the forum sweet.

Love the idea behind it, but have to agree with everything the previous member said!

Idea is cool. Needs a custom skin desprately and for the right price, I'll do one. I'm very experienced with MyBB.

Wow that skin is really bright. That might hurt some people's eyes.

I would stick "News and Information" at the top, because that's where important stuff goes, and I'd stick a "General Discussion" forum of sorts in there.

Other than that, it's all right, I suppose.

Get a real TLD, I've never heard of .ej.am, and I don't like it.

Anyway, I like the idea, it might just work. Your best bet is to find members on sites where only eccentric people would go. Popular fan sites would probably be great for the site.

Anyway, my opinion about the site.
1: ANYTHING looks better than the theme you have. The colors don't match and the bright pink is deadly. Unfortunately, there aren't many good free skins for MyBB out there, but look for something bright and kind of 70s style.

2: Try moving the quick login to the top and not the bottom of the page.

3: I don't care for the categories and their organization. If you ask me, Health, Music, and Sports are pretty random if you ask me. I would take a look around a small, but successful general talk forum, and get 3-5 popular category ideas from there.

Anyway, I think you have a good niche idea going, so good luck with that. If you promote the site correctly, don't be surprised if you start getting a new member a day by Christmas.

Thanks for the um feedback, I tried to make a theme for myself - I guess I'm just not good at designing.

I was thinking, since the categories probably would overlap, that I should use vanilla with it's 'discussions' view
