My question: How do you know if there is an audience for a forum that you would like to start? I haven't seen any forums started in my area of interest so I am not really sure what to think. I am pretty sure that there are a lot of people that fall into this category though. Thanks  | ||||

Join Date: Oct 2005 Posts: 652 | You have to find that market somehow. When I first made my site, The Nerd Council, (www.nerdcouncil.com), there weren't any nerd forums around that I knew of. So what I did was find where nerds would hang out; in technology forums or academic forums, and I posted there, leaving my signature behind. So what you want to do is look for a place where people would most likely be interested in your niche. | ||||

If it is untapped as you say then it should be easier for you to get ranked high in search engines so make sure you do your keyword research and optimize your site for them properly. | ||||
