Same IPs, same user?

Join Date: Jul 2006 Posts: 274  | Same IPs, same user? I think I might have a problem with one user making multiple accounts just to win a contest I'm running. However I don't want to jump to conclusions. All the accounts have the exact same IP (and funny enough, only one vote to their credit before leaving and never coming back). Is it pretty certain they're the same person based on the IPs being the same?  | ||||

| You must remember, the other person may have alot of family in the house using the same IP.

Join Date: Oct 2006 Posts: 186 | Same IP voting for the same thing, sounds suspicious enough for me to throw some judgment around. I banned 5 users with 3 like IP addresses just yesterday. What made me look into it was the odd way in which one user would respond to the others advertisements. It's a firm rule in my book that multiple accounts under the same IP is a form of spam, and unless it is somehow justified, like husband and wife sharing interests, then it is indeed spam. | ||||
