I have forums as an integrated part of larger websites on two of my content sites. The forum software I use on them truly sucks and I want to start over. I started another thread under software looking for ASP solutions instead of PHP since the sites are written in ASP. I am looking to start the forums from scratch with a better software than the current ASPBB.

I am looking for two things:
1) New ASP based software recommendations

2) Advice on starting a forum over. Have you done this? Did you copy your old content over?

It would obviously be a waste to lose all your original members and posts so if you can convert then you should. I don't know of any ASP software though. Way back I did a conversion from phpbb to ipb. Much better than starting with an empty forum.

Agreed. Simply converting the forum should give it enough of a fresh start, it'll feel like a whole new forum. Unless conversion is impossible, I'd recommend it as well
