Lightbulb Private Forum topics?

I've read through some threads here about private forums and see that some people have had success with them. I'm thinking about adding a private forum to spark guest interest. But, I'm at odds on what would make sense to my members and what would spark the most interest. I cannot do Adults Only or 18+. My members have spoke out about this several times. Any other suggestions for great topics or names for private forums?

I don't have an answer to this but it brings up an interesting question and one I will watch the answers to. Rep for the great question.

You need to have a forum that people will strive to become a part of. It all depends on what kind of forum you have. For example, if you had a gaming forum, then perhaps you could put in a private forum about up-coming games with exclusive information or something. If you are talking about the forum in your signature, then perhaps you could insert a forum about the night-life (eg. pubs, bars). I'm sure you can think of a better topic.

well, for the moment I'm promoting the vBulletin groups feature. I'm adding sub-forums and making them private so that maybe people would want to register to see what's in the group forum. I have a forum that is for promoted members within the community, but I think showing that forum (instead of making it hidden) is just going to cause some members to feel jealous and leave. I'm still thinking about it. There's very few topics that I wouldn't want spiders to catch.
