| Is this possible, and practical? Is this idea practical, and possible? My idea is to create a forum (nothing special there then) But, this forum would be a support forum for the popular forum software, this would definatly include, phpBB, MyBB, IPB, vBulletin & SMF. To do this i would need staff experienced on software, maybe a group of two staff on each software. My question is, is this (A) Pratical, and possible (B) Is there a niche for such? Thanks

| I think it's a good idea, there are forums specifically for one type of forum software, so why not make one for multiple softwares?

I agree with Moelman; there are many forums dedicated to one brand of software, so why not create one that's dedicated to a variety of different forum software packages? Sure, there are the official company support forums, but many people find those too busy (and sometimes, too biased). If you release your own packages and have the download or demo link on your website, you'll get tons of unique visitors, which, although they may not be the best for your forum, will do wonders for your ad revenue. Maybe you'll want it to just be an all content site without a forum? | ||||
