Geeks like games, right? Without more details on the toy, I'm not exactly sure what else to say...Maybe you could find something that lets you modify the profile page some so that they could have an "About My Toy" page where they can have pics of it, say where they got it, how much they paid, how it is modified (assuming you can modify this toy, haha), stories with the toy...I'm not sure, let me know what it is though, I'm curious

(I'm not sure if it will be sold as Lego Mindstorms NXT or just Lego NXT, but I'm hoping for just NXT as the domains don't contain the word Mindstorms.) There's a preview article from next month's Wired magazine here.I have a couple of the old Mindstorms sets but hardly ever got enough time to sit down with them, so I can't exactly call myself an expert. And I understand Lego already has a thriving community of it's own, so I'd probably have to offer something really unique and exciting to be able to attract some power users.

You could let people put pictures up of their creation....and tell what they have added on to it, etc.

Anyways I never had a mindstorm, i couldn't afford it , but I’m guessing you can save the programs for them and allow people to upload them to the corresponding projects.I think there are at least a few mods for it online, so maybe a mod section. Also I think a Tutorial section would be nice, where people who just got one could go to learn how to do things with it. You could have a contest section, like every month have a new contest where people have to build something to do a task. This might be better in the forum though, I’m not sure.
