We are having a discussion across the forum circuit on signatures, it seems we have some forums that disable signature links so that guests can not view them at all. What do you guys think about this? Please state your policy in this thread so we can get this discussion going on this major issue to all forum owners!

OK my brother, but what about images in signatures, do you also show them to guests? Yeah man, I will dump one of the links

How about I say it for you then Ryan, because that is exactly what it is! In addition you only hurt your own forum when members start talking about things like this! It is a major issue that is going to back fire on forum owners if they don't play their cards right! You can bet on it brother! I am going to make sure of it......

I see no reason to block them because a good amount of people that visit a forum may never register. At least they have the opportunity to notice a link that might be something they are looking for.

I am a part of a forum that does limit signatures to members who have been with the forum for a certain amount of time and/or have more than 30 posts. The only thing I've restricted in my forum are images in the signature(except for one member who got it in before I made the change). Fortunately, his banner isn't too crazy. | ||||
