I run a site - http://www.theforumplanet.com and we have a massive amount of sub forums. I question now whether this is useful or not. I was thinking of merging everything into just 8 forums making it easier for people. Do you think this would be a advantage to the site or take away a unique aspect of the forum? Im not sure what to do.

Yes, reduce/consolidate them and wait until you have enough posts and topics of a specific nature to warrant a new subforum or forum. Jim
