Need an advice

Hi,

I had an vbulletin community board and an average 30 people online at the time. My database is 60 MB. Then what hosting plan which is compatible with my forum and please suggest me some good host providers.

Thank you very much

30 people were always on? That sounds pretty high and you might want to go for a dedicated server.

30 people can make a big variation. It really depends on how big the files on your forum are.

If just your database is 60MB, you'll probably want at least 500MB of server space. However, with 30 people online at any given time, you could need up to 100GB of bandwidth.

Try to figure out how much bandwidth you're using.

By the way, A Small Orange - Web Hosting, Software and more! is really popular around here.

30 members or 30 visitors?

Here at AF we have 150 or so visitors (members, guests, and search engines) on here at a time, constantly, but only 10 actual members logged in....There's a big difference between having 30 members logged in and 30 visitors total (members, guests, and search engines).

No, you definitely do not need a dedicated server with 30 total visitors on at a time...You need to look for "shared hosting". I have had very good experience with A Small Orange - Web Hosting, Software and more!

Are they simply browsing and posting or do you provide them with an arcade and other interactive bits and pieces?

With 30 visitors averaging online, you'd be fine with shared hosting, though it also depends on what all they are doing.
