Join Date: Jul 2006 Posts: 1,629 Location: Australia       | Blogging Forum? I'm thinking of starting a forum about blogging. A google search reveals that there are a few, but I think they're either not busy or quite badly designed. Do you think it would be good to start a forum about blogging - it's hard to find a good domain name, so suggestions would be good  Thanks!

Try to find a successful blog forum out there. Surely there is one, or there's a forum that's close to it...Figure out what they're doing right and what they're doing wrong - and capitalize on both of these.

| There are some I found from searching right now but they aren't really all that big like you said. I don't think it is a question of finding a good domain for it as you could go as generic as bolgtalk.com or as personal as bdude.com, but more of will it work and will people want to join. First you'll need to improve what the other blogging forums are lacking but also consider the amount of activity they get. If not many people use the existing blog forums, why would they even bother with a brand new one?

| Excellent idea... With a good domain name and a decent advertising budget, this could really be successful. You could have technical forums for software issues, forums discussing the different aspects of blogging, and forums on how to monetize your blog(s). | ||||

I wish I could afford vB
