Yes, I asked him to be a moderator, and he said no, it will take too much of my time.

I then turned on the moderator abilities for his account, and told him that we had 1 administrator other than myself, and 1 other moderator. He wouldn't have to spend a lot of time trying to moderate every day.

I also told him that he was on the forum an average of 2 to 4 hours a day already, and we only get like 20 new posts a day. This amazed him, and it finally made him wake up. He didn't realize he was already online that long. He also thought that some of the moderator controls were kind of neat/interesting, and decided he would help. Even though he likes having power now, he doesn't abuse them.

It really was more his part. I didn't have to do much. It was more of me saying, I want you as a moderator, I turn on the account, and said to him, please help moderate the forums. He was then stuck with it, and now enjoys it.

That's really funny, hahaha.

"No, I don't want to moderate...I don't have time to."

"Yes you do, here you are a moderator. Have at it."

"Ok."

Glad to hear he came around though Chris, he sounds like a good one.

That sounds great. I've heard of far worse ways that people become moderators only for the admins of those forums to regret it. Good job!

I am glad you guys like my story.

Personally, I look back now that you guys talk about it and think I was kind of mean to all of a sudden drop a job onto somebody.
