Question Advice for my New forum

Hello,

Now as you may have seen in my Sig, profile or Introduction thread I'm Creating a Forum Aimed at Teenagers, (Yeah i know, Another one)
I'm a experienced Administrator (starting to learn VB though) but i need your advice.

Basically, i Need to finish my site Very soon, but recently personal issues and website hickups seem to just get in the way and slow it down.

So i would like advice; I'm looking for a VB Skin, thats light coloured, not to dark, but makes it Vibrant, (to a extent ) It needs to be Hackable and a good all round theme that hasn't got errors or missing icons etc.

So I would like to appeal to the depths of your brain for a Skin that would suit my website and my Target Market Group.

Thanks, And a Speedy reply with a helpful link would help me out so Much.

Thanks again

I don't think that we can tell you the best skin for your forum...You should look around and pick the skin that you like best. Nobody knows your forums more than you

I'd start here:

and here:

Yeah, only problem is the cost and the wait, ive seen a post on here i think warning people of a website that he paid for them to make him something and they didnt.

i try to stear away from those sort of things if i can, but yeah good point, i may end up doing so if i cant find anything, although its just another set back XD

Friends is spelt wrong in the banner.

I cannot stress the importance of accurate/perfect/exceptional spelling, punctuation and grammar in things like this and also forum names/descriptions.

Ok am not the best experienced adviser when it comes to forums..but couple of things i'll suggests.
1) get a banner that matches your site background and colour
now am not 1 to put forums looks at the top of the list but since yours is aimed at teens..they tend to look for these.

2) your forum layout - am sure most admins would agree with me on this one..when you first start a forum you need to keep it K.I.S.S, keep it simple stupid.
have at least only 5 categories to start with and a few forums that would harbor the most important discussions of that particular niche
And i'll suggest you move you website discussions at the top of the pile as its very important that guests and members know and be informed about whats going on with the board and thats where your board rules & guidelines can also be found.
you've got so many unnecessary categories, most of those categories in my view can be merged!

I hope these are helpful to you!
