Do you have a launch team?

I've never had a launch team to start up a new forum - but because my community is starting to grow at a rapid pace, I'm sure I could pick a few selective members to help me launch a new forum if I ever decided to launch a new forum.

If you have a launch team, how many people are in it? What do they do?

im planning to have a launch team for my new forum, just a few people to build up the posts before we advertise, just so it looks busy and more inviting.

I had a launch team on my forum when it first started but most of them actually stuck around and still post.

I didn't with AF...It was just me and Larry...and Larry doesn't really count, because he's never been a big poster

Everybody else came naturally

If I went back and had to do it again, I'd definitely try to get a launch team of 5-10 people to get things going

I would of thought AF would of had a start-up team, you must of been posting allot then - to much work for one reason really. But you always seem to amaze me Ryan

It wasn't just me talking to myself, lol

Like most other forums, it started with the owner telling others about the forum. It only took an announcement or two at other forums before a few members started trickling in. Even if a new forum only has 3 random members, that's enough to start making conversation...and it just goes up from there.

Look at Adam and cpvr...both of them registered at AF within the first few days of its existence, and they're still here today. They were not part of a "launch team", they were just 2 guys who probably stumbled across one of my advertisements or signature links.
